Welcome!
You are invited to experience a
peaceful and scenic getaway at the Old Bridge Cabin.
This unique Trinity vacation home
is located in historic Lewiston along the banks of Hoadley Creek where
it flows into the famed Trinity River in the mountains of northern
California, 25 miles west of Redding just off Highway 299.
The
gold rush town of Lewiston was founded by Frank B. Lewis in the 1870's
and soon became the major stage coach route and hub of Trinity
County.
The Old Lewiston Bridge was built
in 1851 as a toll bridge but was destroyed many times by floods, and
last rebuilt in 1901. It is the oldest one-way bridge on a major
road in the county.
You'll find the Old Bridge cabin
adjacent to the bridge just steps away from antique shopping, art
gallery, restored school house and church, fine dining, and the famous
"Fly Fishing Only" catch and release waters of the Trinity
River.
